Brasstown Bald, Blairsville, GA 11/2/13

Several weeks ago, I went to the highest point in Georgia, Brasstown Bald. It had breathtaking views at the top from the observation deck. Although we had to pay a $5 fee to avoid hiking 5 or 6 miles instead of 0.6, but still, all of it was worth the views. In addition, it was cod and there were a few showers around, which brought graupel on the trail.
Here is a link to the slideshow of pictures from Brasstown Bald:

Point Park, Lookout Mountain GA/TN, 10/26/13

After doing a break in slideshows, I will upload three of them today. Here is the first one, and is from Point Park/Lookout Mountain Battlefield located in the town of Lookout Mountain, GA/TN, a suburb of Chattanooga. This is  a beautiful place so close to downtown Chattanooga, and should be definitely be #1 in a list of best hikes in the Chattanooga area. Here is a link to the slideshow:

Oconee State Park, Mountain Rest, South Carolina, 10/12/13; Chimney Tops - Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, Tennessee 10/19/13

Good afternoon!
After a rather long break in posts, I have completed two slideshows of pictures from some my trips in Middle October.
The first slideshow is from Oconee State Park in upstate South Carolina. Although nothing amazing, the park was a nice getaway, and did offer some nice views too. Here is a link to the short slideshow.

The second slideshow is from a more interesting place: Chimney Tops in the Smoky Mountains. Chimney Tops is one of the best destinations in the entire park, because of the breathtaking views at the top, and well...because of a little challenge too, that you will see in the slideshow. Here is a link.

Also, I uploaded my live video recording from the base overlook at Chimney Tops, so here is a link to it.

NOTE: Chimney Tops should not be confused with Chimney Rock
Thanks for watching the slideshows (I put a lot of work in them) and don't miss my next one!

Cheaha State Park, Heflin, Alabama 10/5/13

On October 5th, 2013, I visited Cheaha State Park in Alabama.  It is the highest point in Alabama at 2,408 feet, and is located in the Talladega National Forest Mountains south of Interstate 20. There were several beautiful overlooks in the park, so here is a link to my pictures slideshow from the park.
