F. D. Roosevelt State Park is named after
our former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who as far as I understand, had
a home in Warm Springs, Georgia, where there is a historic site called “Little
White House”. This State Park is the largest in the whole state of Georgia,
covering over 9000 acres of hilly land across Southwest Georgia. The State Park
covers a small southern ridge of small mountains, called the “Pine Mountain
Ridge”.
